Our Ship Management is looking for a highly motivated Superintendent (m/f/d).

Job Description:

Depending on the professional experience of the candidate, the position can also be filled with a Junior or Senior Superintendent


Your Tasks:

you will be responsible for the daily operations of the vessels assigned to you. You will plan, budget and negotiate with shipyards for dry docking and relevant engineering works. Providing quidance to resolve and/or directly attending to technical matters pertaining to your vessels. Conducting vessel visits and preparing vessels for inspections and audits.


Your Profile:

  • Technical Diploma
  • Sea-going experience at least as a 2/E
  • Chemical Tankers Experience preferable
  • Experience in a shore organization advantageous
  • Business fluent in English
  • Communication and cooperation skills as well as team spirit

Job Description:

Your responsibilities:

You are the first point of contact to our key accounts in the automotive sector. As part of Customer Services, the independent processing of customer orders and all related tasks are the focus of your activities. This includes, among other things, taking bookings and entering them into the booking system, as well as coordinating container shipments and transports on the various modes of transport, both independently and in cooperation with the transport department. In addition, you will coordinate container shipments directly with the seaports.


What we expect from you: 

  • Completed training as shipping clerk or shipping and logistics services clerk
  • Relevant practical experience in a comparable position
  • Understanding of strategic planning
  • Very good English and MS Office skills

For our chemical tanker newbuilding project we are looking for a New building Owner’s representative / Project Engineer (m/w/d) who acts as an owner’s representative at Dingheng shipyard in China.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities:

As an Owner’ representative / Project Engineer you participate in the construction of the vessels and liaise with site manager / team and yard to ensure that the vessels are built in accordance with the terms and conditions of the building contracts and technical specification. Thereby, you also secure that specifications are up to date. Within this role, you participate in all meetings concerning class issues together with Site Manager as well as ensure the compliance to budget and timeline. Furthermore, you are responsible for regular reports of project activities to the German owners and ship management team. The role reports to the New Building Manager.


What we expect from you:

  • Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, alternatively seagoing experiences as a Senior Engineer
  • Business fluent in English
  • Good communication and cooperation skills as well as intercultural competence
  • Confident, self-assured appearance, initiative and hands-on mentality
  • Extensive newbuilding experience, especially in the construction of stainless-steel chemical tankers in China.

Controller (m/f/d)

Job Description:

Your responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for the planning, management and control of strategically important special projects and evaluations. In addition, you will assume responsibility in our important business areas, "Container Liner Shipping" and "Chemical Tanker", in the coordination and preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budget and medium-term planning, including the corresponding reports. In addition, you will bring all your experience to the further development of the existing cost accounting in SAP and the related evaluation systems.


What we expect from you:

  • Training as a shipping clerk with a focus on controlling and/or (technical) university degree with a focus on controlling or comparable training.
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in a container line or chemical tanker shipping company.
  • Very good knowledge of project management
  • Advanced level of English
  • Relevant system experience in SAP and Excel; knowledge in Power BI and Knime is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, initiative and team spirit.
