Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated Certified Accountant (m/f/d) to join us full-time as soon as possible

Job Description:

Your Responsibilities 

  • Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
  • Reconciling general and subsidiary ledgers and co-managing consolidated financial reporting

  • Commercial training with further qualification as a certified accountant or comparable qualification 
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as an accountant • Professional experience in group accounting
  • Profound knowledge of SAP and MS Office, especially Excel 
  • Proficient English language skills 
  • Affinity for numbers, a structured and meticulous working style, and strong teamwork skills

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed commercial training
  • Maritime experience is a plus, but not required – we will train you

New Building Owner's Representative (m/f/x)

We are looking to fill the position of New Building Owner's representative for our chemical tanker new building project.

Job Description:

As New Building Owner's Representative (m/f/d) you will oversee the construction of the vessels in China and liaise with the site manager/team and the shipyard to ensure that the vessels are built according to the terms of the construction contracts and technical specifications. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the specifications are up to date. You will attend all class meetings together with the site manager and ensure that the budget and schedule are adhered to. In addition, you will be responsible for regular reporting on project activities to the German owners and the ship management team. In this position you will report directly to the New Building Manager. 

Profile Requirements:

  • Experience as a Naval Architect, Marine Engineer or as Senior Ship Officer with chemical tanker experience 
  • Skills: Proficient in reading and understanding ship drawings, approving/ improving drawings related to ship construction, cargo, engine and automation systems 
  • Project Management: Experience in working remotely on ship newbuilding projects in China as senior supervisor or/and site manager 
  • Location: Willingness to work in China for extended periods
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with diverse nationalities and under pressure

  • Experience in property valuation is an advantage
